USS Kennedy

NCC-64921

“There are risks and costs to action. But they are far less than the long-range risks of comfortable inaction.”
– John F. Kennedy

Tensions are high across the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. Infighting and factions run rampant within the fractured Cardassian Union. The three Romulan successor states vie for power, resources, and critical strategic systems near Federation space. The Breen have shown a renewed interest in harassing neutral worlds and Federation colonies. Starfleet must use its diplomatic acumen to keep the peace.

Enter the Kennedy: an unimposing yet capable Norway-class starship. The Kennedy’s advanced scientific capabilities and enlarged diplomatic suite make her well-suited to the task of gathering intelligence and serving as a hub for dignitaries and the important conciliatory talks that are to come. The Kennedy carries some of the fleet's top talent in diplomacy, intelligence, and science to serve as a diplomatic vanguard at the Federation's borders.

As a roleplaying group within Bravo Fleet, the Kennedy consists of several members who each control the actions of one or more characters. Together, the members write out the actions of their characters during the adventures of the Kennedy, based on a premise set by the group manager, who is akin to a dungeon master in a table-top game. Whether you're an old hand at this hobby or just love Star Trek, we'd love to have you join us, so peruse the site, check out our writing, and consider sending in an application!

Welcome to the Kennedy! This is a premade roleplaying group open for anyone in Bravo Fleet with the rank of Lieutenant or higher that is interested in running a game, but who would prefer additional support with the initial concept and setting.

This is the fleet's designated diplomatic game, and so the focus for the Kennedy is intended to be on stories related to negotiations, politics, and generally talking first and shooting second. Diplomatic stories are a hallmark of all Star Trek series, but aren't often taken up in fandom circles such as ours, so we hope that this will be a unique and interesting start to a writing group.

If you are interested in running the Kennedy join the Discord server above and/or contact the Bravo Fleet Operations Officer.
